The holidays are a great time because of the celebrations, parties, time off from work or school, and being able to see friends or family that maybe you only see once or twice a year… when you’re lucky. On the flip side, they can also be hectic and stressful when there is travel involved or simply communicating across country to all your loves ones. In order to make your holiday season as good as possible and go off without a hitch, think ahead and take care of everything you can before it’s too late. Here are some pointers to get you going.
Ship Your Gifts Ahead of Time
If you have any travel plans, and need to take your gifts, avoid taking them to the airport at all costs. Instead, try to order it online and have it shipped directly to your destination. This is by far the easiest way. If you can’t order it online and have it pre-delivered, go to FedEx, and have them ship it for you. This way you don’t have to worry about airport security or possible breakage due to poor handling. Hopefully if you use FedEx, it’ll get there about the same time you do and you won’t have to worry about a thing.
Make a Holiday Calendar
With so many parties and celebrations, it can be hard to know what’s going on, where it’s happening and when exactly. That’s why we suggest you print out a detailed agenda for the entire family. Complete with locations, times, etc. This way, nobody will have the excuse “But I didn’t know”. If you want, you can even email it to your extended family so they are in the loop as well.
The holidays are crazy because they all happen so fast, one on top of the other; sometimes they can even feel overwhelming. If you feel overwhelmed, take a break. Go for a tea with one of your friends and put everything on hold for a couple hours. Once you feel better, you can get back to your holiday planning.
